TV/Movie Analysis

Description

The purpose of this assignment is for you to explore in greater depth a topic in substance addiction that you find interesting. Many students enjoy the freedom to independently explore topics that interest them, and this assignment is designed to facilitate that process. You will be required to write a 3-page paper discussing and analyzing a movie or tv show that highlights an addiction topic that you would like to further explore. I am happy to brainstorm topics with you.   Make sure you address the following questions and prompts:  Describe the movie/TV show you watched. Include a brief description of the movie/tv show and how it relates to addiction.(this should be no more than 2-3 sentences). Discuss why you chose this tv show/movie. How/why was it of interest to you? (no more than 1 paragraph) Explain how this movie/tv show accurately depicts the addiction highlighted in the movie/tv show. Discuss how this movie/tv show does not accurately portray the particular addiction.  Explain how the movie did or did not address the cultural considerations of the characters.   AND  You must include at least 2 citations from professional, peer-reviewed journals dated no later than 2000. Use these articles to define your addiction, explain signs and symptoms, and share potential methods for recovery.   It is imperative that you review the full assignment instructions and detailed rubric for the assignment. The paper should conform to APA guidelines, which can be found in the APA publication manual (7th edition).  Double spaced 1” margins, times new roman font, reference page, NO title page, NO header or footer.
