Part I: Aging 1.   Filial piety is defined as loving, honoring, obeying, and respecting parents, and to advise, teach, and care for them as they age. In some cultures, children have a duty to care for elderly parents. What is your belief about the importance of caring for aging parents (instead of placing them in a nursing home)? In your discussion, include when nursing home placement be most beneficial and what are some drawbacks of living in a nursing home. 2.  How might you help a loved one cope with transitioning from living independently in their own home to living in a nursing home (or some other type of senior living facility)? Part II: Right to Die Controversy 1.  Is assisted suicide ever ethically justifiable?
