The purpose of this journal is to expose you to a greater variety of Canadian music and composers. You are responsible for choosing a piece that fulfils the prompt, and follow the guidelines contained in the following rubric. The following are all worth 1 point: – Your chosen piece is clearly identified (title/composer) – Your chosen piece fits the prompt – You explain how you found/selected the piece – your text is largely free of grammatical errors – your text is of an appropriate length (min. 300 words) In addition to answering the above questions, your journal should include a personal reflection (5 points). Your reflection may include (but is not limited to) the following: – Your personal reaction. Do you like this piece? Why or why not? – An analysis of the piece (form, text, harmonic.
