HA405-2: Explain a bioethical issue within a healthcare facility.
In this unit, you will identify and evaluate one bioethical health care issue facing healthcare administrators. In a 1-page summary, you will identify bioethical issues and discuss how you would effectively and ethically handle the issues in your facility. Include two (2) academic references and submit your assignment in APA format.
One bioethical issue facing healthcare administrators is the relationship between physicians and patients. Physicians must understand that the only way of entering such relationships is by mutual consent. Doctor-patient relationships (DPRs) are considered the elements in the practice of medicine ethically. Doctors can develop these associations by constantly communicating with their patients. Moreover, doctors must show empathy towards their relationship. These two parties also need to trust each other. Finally, they must understand professional boundaries, such as avoiding burdening patients with personal information.
