Psychological theories are vital because they help in understanding the broad behavior of humans. Therefore, they help in understanding people better. Each of these theories offers critical knowledge about a particular aspect of human behavior. The best intervention strategy in counseling is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy because (MBCT) because it combines cognitive-behavioral approaches with mindfulness techniques to help people understand and manage their thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness allows therapists to go through the thought process of patients, thus, understand why they behave in a certain way.
