2.Some fallacies manipulate through emotion, others through distraction. How does Poisoning the Well differ from Personal Attack?
3.Explain Red Herring, Pointing to another wrong, Straw Man, and Circular Reasoning.
Fallacies refer to mistaken beliefs, especially those based on unsound arguments. It means failure to reason effectively rendering an argument invalid. Poisoning the well is a form of argument where a person pre-emptively presents adverse information intending to ridicule the other party. On the other hand, a personal attack, also known as name-calling is a situation where someone attacks the other person they are arguing with instead of the argument. Red herring, pointing to another wrong, straw man, and circular reasoning are some of the logical fallacies people should know before arguing.
